About Belinda
Born and raised in Southern Alberta, Belinda took an interest in the law at an early age taking several courses in high school before embarking on her undergraduate degree in Communications at University of Calgary. Her passion for helping others sparked a desire to volunteer with organizations like the Mustard Seed, the Lake Country Food Bank and Inn from the Cold. She had enjoyed a multi-dimensional career, working in several industries including telecommunications, financial services and hospitality, before being offered the opportunity to work in administration at a Notary office. After a few short weeks, she realized that the work of a Notary Public was exactly the rewarding career that she had been looking for. Belinda worked as a legal assistant in the Notary office for 2 1/2 years during the completion of her Masters of Applied Legal Studies program at SFU. Since meeting all of the requirements for admittance to the Society of Notaries Public of BC and being commission by the court on June 15, 2023, Belinda and her family moved from Kelowna to open her practice in the West Kootenays, serving the communities of Castlegar, Trail and surrounding areas. She looks forward to getting to know the members of the community and pursuing opportunities to serve through local charities and community organizations.
